Dubai’s Fastest Police Force

At some point or another in our lives, we’ve all wanted to drive a Ford Crown Victoria or Dodge Charger police car, just to see what it’s like to be behind the wheel of a police cruiser. Things are a little different in the United Arab Emirates, more specifically, in Dubai – where they get to patrol tourist areas in their choice of several 600+ horsepower police cars.

Supercars in Dubai’s police fleet include a Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4, a Ferrari FF, a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, a Bentley Continental GT, a limited-edition Aston Martin One-77, a BMW M6 Gran Coupe, a Brabus G63 AMG, a Bugatti Veyron, an Audi R8, a McLaren MP4-12C, a Lexus RC-F, a BMW i8 and the list goes on. Enjoy our photo gallery of just a few select vehicles of the Dubai Police.

Check out the below video from the Dubai Police and listen to the grunts, growls and grumbles of their fleet.

Record-Breaking Ice Run!

Several cars these days can hit 200 mph — no problem. Look at the Corvette ZR1, any Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren and others and you’ll see. But when you throw ice into the equation, it’s a different story. Nokian Tires threw some winter treads onto an Audi RS6, brought to an ice track and launched — all the way to 209 miles an hour. Check out the video below for some record-breaking driving.

High Performance: Audi S/RS/R Models

For years, Audi has been one of the leading manufacturers in high performance luxury cars. With the S models looking more aggressive than ever and having very quick shifting transmissions and all wheel drive, these cars are guaranteed to add that little something extra to your morning commute. Right when you thought there was no more room for improvement, Audi hits you faster than ever with the impressive RS line. The RS models have been designed using technology from around the racetrack by professional drivers. The RS line most definitely represents Audi’s top notch work. Last but definitely not least, the Audi R8 is breath taking. This super car rumbles down the road with an exhilarating 5.2 liter V10 providing 525 horsepower and going 0-60 in 3.7 seconds. Check out the Audi S8 commercial and all of the S/RS/R models below.

An Audi Light Show

Have you ever sat at a traffic light and looked at the cars turning and noticed how their turn signals don’t match up? In South Carolina, New River Auto Mall put 8 Audi A4’s and 2 Audi S4’s to the test and tried to synchronize the hazard lights so they would flash at the same time. Known as the pioneer in automotive LED lighting, these beautiful Audi’s perform a symphony matched to a dubstep-y song. Congrats on getting the lights to match up! Now, check this video out:

On January 26, we traveled to the 27th Annual Tri-State International Auto Show which was held at Rockland Community College in Suffern, New  York. Although nowhere near as large as the New York International Auto Show at the Javits Center around March and April, the show in Suffern gave us a good preview of the new 2013 cars. Check out some of our pictures!
